Just Another Morning in Rock-N-Roll

This morning I woke up dazed as usual. I proceeded to check my wallet, my cellphone, and Facebook account to see what damage I caused the night before and who I was gonna have to apologize to today. I needed a "pick me up" to try to rationalize yesterday and also the current events of today. I couldn't find any stimulation until I was sent these:

The New Hookers Promo Video "Teenage Blood"!!!

I also scored 10  unreleased live tracks from Phoenix Az. locals "Scorpion vs. Tarantula". Most of the material will be used for Erratic! Radio and my new podcast, which this week I'm calling "The Degenerate Hour". It airs soon @ Garagepunk.com. But wait!!! Here's two tracks to hold you over until then:

ATTN: THIS JUST IN!!! BEING HOMOPHOBIC SPAWNS A.I.D.S.!!!

ATTN: THIS JUST IN!!! BEING HOMOPHOBIC SPAWNS A.I.D.S.!!! Here's the most recent "vicdumb":

In this pic: his life aspirations are posing as pimples all over his "gay" soulless face/horse teeth.
Its a mosaic made out of gay porn.

Below a great quote from that "frothy mix of lube and fecal matter" i.e. (spreadingsantorum.com)

Comparing homosexuality to "man-on-dog" sex Quote: "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. Does that undermine the fabric of our society? I would argue yes, it does. ... That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing." (AP interview, April 7, 2003)

So Shattered...

Cheap Whiskey and someone else's pills have got me feeling manic. Late to work again....Fuck today, I just wanna watch this:

Thank You, and Good Night!

Melted Cassettes came in and played a short (yet rockin') set. "Stomach Problems" and just 1 "song" in the second hour. Here's our verdict: The "Retard-O-Tron 2" video was too Erratic! (i.e. Porn and bad B-movies clips spliced together in somewhat of an acid flashback, for me at least). The 8 or so people congregated in my kitchen/hallway were into it...the band not so much (we think)...There's a part in the flick where a girl pretty much throws up out of her sphincter. Which brings me to this: Poop jokes are fucking hilarious to most, but not all.... In fact, a couple years ago I was in L.A. (hiding from the law for a moment) and went to a business meeting with a cousin in the "Industry". Him and his colleagues (man years older than me) were outside conducting "business" when a bird flew over and conducted his own business inches away from one co-workers head. We all took cover, laughed and confirmed: For some poop jokes NEVER get old....

Here's a trailer: God Bless Kelly Wells and her ghastly burp!!!

The Calm Before the Storm

Tuesday nights have become rather "Erratic" for my dog Echo. Each Tuesday around 6:00 pm a different band blows into her living room to discombobulate the airwaves on Erratic! Radio, which airs in the PHX area 8-10 Pm MST on KWSS 106.7 FM (streaming for everyone else @ www.kwss.org). Tonight's guest on Erratic! Radio is Melted Cassettes. They're name fits they're sound. Like a warped einstürzende neubauten tape left on the dash of your car after 3 pm on any given summer day. People who grew up in a desert like Arizona will get that. Knowing what she's in for: It's now Echo time from here til 6 pm. Be sure to tune in @ 8 pm to have your psyche manipulated!!!!

This should be able to hold you off until then--- enjoy!!!

So Many Things in the Works

I finally decided to get this thing going. I figure it'll help tie together all the things I'm currently working on. It's long over due....

Taking a break from Plainfield Butchers shows for a moment to work on the 8 or so new tracks we/I have swimming around my head. We've had some killer out of town shows so far this year, but now it's time to get busy recording. We're set in the next couple weeks to go back into Welshman's Pride Studios and knock out our 2nd (full?) Release once again with Ron Llewellyn! He's the best! Here's a demo track some of you have heard already for a tune called "Empty Eyes". Can't wait to get a finished version!!! http://soundcloud.com/westleyallen/02-empty-eyes

Erratic! Radio is also having a stellar year! Check out all the archives and get ready for performances from some of my favorite bands like Tokyo Electron, Digital Leather, Eddy Detroit, The Thingz and many, many more. We're also running a new Pro-tools rig that we tried out this last weekend to our satisfaction!!! www.erraticradio.com

Recently, I've been talking to Kopper over @ Garage-Punk.com about starting a new one-hour podcast geared towards newer up-and-coming acts. I decided to take him up on the offer and am currently working on the first episode also entitled "The Chopping Block" which will be done soon!!!! I'm gonna try and feature a couple live songs and interview with bands somewhat similar to Erratic! Radio. Just looking to branch out and I've got some really good ideas for this show!!! http://garagepunk.ning.com/

If bands are EVER interested in interviewing and/or performing on either show contact me @ west.allen77@gmail.com
